New York Red Bulls vs. Paris Saint Germain Live Match Thread
The New York Red Bulls kick off this year's Emirates Cup this morning against Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain. Given that tomorrow's game against Arsenal is likely to be the main event for an already tired Red Bulls side, we may well see more of the second-string players on show in today's game.
Our own Matt Conroy and Alexis Gourgand gave us the low-down on PSG, who will kick off league action next weekend, making this one of their final tests before they return to competitive football. Given the team's recent improvement and their quantity and quality of new signings, this will be a tough one for the Red Bulls
Lineups
Red Bulls: Frank Rost, Chris Albright, Carlos Mendes, Tim Ream (c), Roy Miller, Jan Gunnar Solli, Teemu Tainio, Dane Richards, Dax McCarty, Joel Lindpere, Juan Agudelo
I'll post the rest when they are out.
Kickoff is at 9:00 AM and you can watch the game on MSG+, ESPN Deportes, and ESPN3.com. This is probably going to be an embarrassment.

PSG getting some chances
but they’re not playing us off the park yet.

These English blokes
can’t pronounce any of the names. My ears hurt every time they try to say Agudelo.
I'm watching on ESPN Deportes
I knew to flip over when they started talking about how we’re not good in the final third. They’re idiots.

It's Chris Waddle
He says penalty as “pelanty”
Squeezed to Song and Bendtner and Song and Nasri oh lovely lovely lovely!
-Peter Drury, the one time his commentating has ever been acceptable.

This halftime segment on MSG +
is pretty strange.
On espn3
its a blank screen alternating with commercials.

How will they play this?
Mass substitutions in the second half?
This is still Backe we're talking about.
I don’t think so.

There's only 6 allowed
So some will have to play 90

Red Bulls starting slow
again. Try watching the highlights from Philthy v. Colorado if anybody needs cheering up this morning.

Nowak is pissed
if his rambling press conference is to be believed.

Agudelo limps off for Hertzog
that’s not good — nothing to do with Hertzog, whom I like, but Agudelo being hurt is bad news

Yay
the first casualty of this idiotic trip. If we win this game, can we transfer the three points to the MLS table? ‘Cause then it’d be totally worth it.

We're getting a few chances on the break here
but are yet to capitalize on them.

That wasn't unfortunate
that is Richards. Rooney had a quick pass to the flank but he wanted a shot. Good counter attack though.

Joel Lind-pear-eh
is our hero. Good win, I wish I could feel better about it.
