The Professional Soccer Referees Association (PSRA) took it upon themselves to document and publish the refereeing history of the replacement referees from Week 1. This was done in an obvious attempt to discredit the ability of the replacement officials, most likely done to put pressure on the Professional Referee Organization (PRO). The PSRA is the union for officials assigned by PRO, which handles referee training and assignments for US Soccer. The PSRA and PRO are currently in the middle of a labor dispute that has seen PSRA members authorize a strike and PRO responding by locking the PSRA members out of working MLS games. Earlier today, PRO announced that the original assignments for Week 2 have been pulled, meaning that replacement officials will most likely be used for a second straight week.
