A couple of questions with Thierry Henry
So TH14 did a conference call for the Salt Lake media in front of this weekend's big match between the Red Bulls and Real Salt Lake. Here are my notes from that call.
Lewis: Luke Rodgers Gets Visa , But Possibly Not in Time
Michael Lewis reports that Notts County midfielder Luke Rodgers is eligible for a visa, but there may not be enough time him to get it into his passport. The MLS transfer window ends this coming Sunday, so unless Rodgers gets it real soon, he may have to wait until next season to be a Red Bull. Assuming the deal is still on.
Cosmos Begin Anew
Yesterday, the revival of the New York Cosmos was announced, with an aim to be playing in the MLS.
How would Red Bulls fans feel about having a second team in New York, and would it affect attendance levels for the Red Bulls?
Thierry Henry's top goals with Arsenal. There's a decent (or terrible, based on your music taste) Thierry tribute song at the beginning. The goal at the 5:05 mark is my personal favorite.
Henry on board
Looks like it's all official now
Alexi Lalas: Scum across the pond?
Alexi Lalas needs to be muzzled, orsomeone needs to kick him in the butt so he can stop being such an anti England hack

Good, Bad and Ugly for Red Bull New York
Good = Tony Parker talks about Thierry Henry joining RBNY
Bad = Parker thinks RBA only seats 10,000
Ugly = That's because though it seats more than double that, the people just aren't showing up as expected.
Vote for either Angel or Stammler for Goal of the Week
Stammler's screamer from the Chivas game and Juan Pablo Angel's 28 yarder to win against Houston are up for goal of the week. Currently Leo Gonzalez has 57% of the vote. Angel has 16%. Let's vote in numbers boys!
Hans Backe, on the second Red Bull red card:
"I would say it's an absolute disgrace. It's ridiculous, it's a joke," said Backe. "When the referee decides games like this, probably the MLS should do an investigation, because it’s not even close to hitting [Boggs]. You can see the level of the referee, the level went like this [up and down]. It’s a joke. If this had been in Italy there would be an investigation if the referee was bought."
