Well with Red Bulls back in the winning track after Angel's last minute heroics against Houston, they look to go into the two week World Cup break on a winning streak as they host Chivas USA at Red Bull Arena.

Roster News - Brian Lewis over at the NY Post is reporting that Mike Petke will be rested in favor of Carlos Mendes. Mendes, who was shown red in the New England game and was subsequently suspended for the win over Houston will be starting his second MLS match of the season. Lewis also reports that Tony Tchani will be starting in the midfield after injuries to Dane Richards and Joel Lindpere on Wednesday. Like Mended, this will be Tchani's second MLS start although he has featured in eight league games so far.
On the injury front, you can add Joel Lindpere (Calf) and Dane Richards (Hamstring) to the mounting injury list. The midfield has been particularly snake-bitten this season with Carl Robinson, Giorgi Chirgadze, Brian Nielsen and Austin Da Luz also out in the midfield. Kevin Goldthwaite, Ibrahim Salou and Mac Kandji round out the injury report. Ibrahim has been getting closer to returning and might make the starting XI depending on a pre-match fitness test.
League Form - Chivas has lost their last four in a row and find themselves in last place in the Western Conference. Metro have somewhat righted the ship with the win against Houston having previously lost three league matches in a row.
Notes - I will be out of town tomorrow for the game, so if anyone is interested in a game thread, use this space to do it. The game will be on FSC and not on MSG. After the technical difficulties that occurred in the Houston game this might be a blessing.
Prediction - 3-1 Metro, as they solve some of the finishing problems. Tony Tchani takes advantage of the midfield injuries to stake a claim for a permanent place in the starting XI.
