Our friends over at Black and Red United have compiled the weekly votes for the MLS power rankings. Just to explain how these rankings work. The authors of the SBnation's soccer blogs send in their rankings weekly on how they think the teams in the league will finish the season overall.

There seems to be some question about why I put the Red Bulls in the top tier in my voting which pushed them into the second tier in the rankings. After four straight losses the team dropped from First Tier status of challenging for the MLS cup to Third Tier status of potentially not making the playoffs. The team pulled off two fantastic wins to end the losing streak and regain top billing in the East.

Other changes this week are Houston dropping from Tier 2 to Tier 3. All other Tiers remain the same. Please feel free to give your thoughts.
