Meet Carlos Mendes and Assistant Coach Richie Williams tomorrow at Gallaghers NY

I hope all is well. With the World Cup around the corner, there is definitely soccer fever in the air. Gallagher's Steakhouse has joined the World Cup bandwagon and because of this, tomorrow (Thursday June 10) from 1 PM to 2:30 PM, Gallagher's Steak House will have a special World Cup event. They will be featuring several beers from around the world. In addition, NY Red Bulls Defenseman Carlos Mendes and Assistant Coach Richie Williams will be on hand to meet and greet fans as well as to provide their predictions on who will win the World Cup. Perhaps you could share this advisory with your readers, as they might be interested in the World Cup as well as meeting Mendes and Williams. Carlos Mendes, New York Red Bulls defenseman and a native of Mineola, Long Island, and Red Bulls Assistant Coach Richie Williams will preview the FIFA World Cup soccer championship on Thursday, June 10, at 1:00 pm at Gallagher’s Steak House in New York. Gallagher’s will preview its extensive international beer menu which will be featured from June 11 through July 11.

Mendes, who is of Portuguese ancestry, will serve as a celebrity bartender and meet and great fans, with tips going to a fund to assist former Red Bull Joe Vide, who is suffering from Stage 3 Hodgkins’ Lymphoma. The media and fans are welcome.

Gallagher’s Steak House (228 West 52nd Street) in New York City will literally toast the 32-country 2010 FIFA WORLD CUP soccer championship with the addition of beer brewed in many of the participating countries on its menu beginning Friday, June 11, opening day of the tournament, through July 11, which concludes the World Cup. Among the beers featured at Gallagher’s during the World Cup are: Corona Extra and Modelo Especial (Mexico), Grolsch (Netherlands), Kronenburg (France), Carlsberg (Denmark), Steinlager (New Zealand), Spatten (Germany), Stella and Blue Moon (Belgium), Tetley's (England), and of course from the U.S.A., Coors Light and Samuel Adams. All of the 2:30 pm games will be televised for the after lunch or late lunch crowd.

The 2010 World Cup will be played in South Africa, and Gallagher’s will have all of the games contested at 2:30 pm/ET on its dining room television for fans to view the action, including the July 11 finale from Johannesburg.
