So there was no over-dramatic video release like the Philadelphia Union had nor any French-language event with awkward electronic music and a runway like the Montreal Impact had, but the Red Bulls have released their 2012 home shirt for all to see (and buy).
As you can tell, it's not much different than last year's (or any other year's to be honest), but gone are the buttons and some of the red piping. Their replacements are a little v-neck and lower MLS and American flag patches on the shoulders.
Because of MLS rules, the Bulls will be sticking with their blue shirts next season, though don't be surprised if the boys start wearing the yellow shorts more often.
Also, because foresight tells me those who like to beat dead horses will make themselves heard, the 2012 shirt in the picture above is bigger than the 2011 one, so the Red Bull logo might not actually be any bigger.
So, pass or fail?
