The Red Bulls haven't won at Crew Stadium since the summer of 2006, and haven't taken any points from Columbus since opening day in 2007, so this looks like one of the team's tougher early season tests. The Crew have not played well so far in 2011, continuing their bad form from the end of last season, while New York will be missing more than half of its starting XI due to injuries and international duty.

The consensus among RBNY fans (one I agree with) is that a draw would be a good result here, and Hans Backe has indicated some similar sentiments.

Red Bulls (4-4-1-1...I think): Alex Horwath; Jan Gunnar Solli, Stephen Keel, Carlos Mendes, Roy Miller; Tony Tchani, Teemu Tainio, Joel Lindpere, Danleigh Borman; Mehdi Ballouchy; Luke Rodgers

Subs: Maurer, Lassiter, Kassel, Rooney, Robinson, da Luz, Hertzog

Columbus: Hesmer; James, Marshall, Balchan, Miranda; Gaven, Ekpo, Burns, Rogers, Rusmir; Mendoza

Subs: Riggs, Iro, Gardener, Duka, Anor, Cunningham, Heinemann

TV: MSG+
