After eight days off, the New York Red Bulls are back in action this evening as they visit the Portland Timbers at Jeld-Wen Field to begin a tough week of three road games. Dwayne De Rosario returns to the Red Bulls' starting XI in place of Luke Rodgers, who missed out on the trip due to plantar fascitis (similar to a heel spur). Portland has two former New York players in their squad, as Jeremy Hall gets a start and Kevin Goldthwaite is on the bench.
Red Bulls: Greg Sutton; Jan Gunnar Solli, Stephen Keel, Carlos Mendes, Roy Miller; Mehdi Ballouchy, Teemu Tainio, Joel Lindpere, Austin da Luz; Dwayne De Rosario, Thierry Henry
Bench: Bouna Coundoul, Mike Jones (signed yesterday off waivers from KC), Marcos Paullo (I'm not sure I believe he exists), Teddy Schneider, John Rooney, Matt Kassel, Corey Hertzog
Timbers: Troy Perkins, Rodney Wallace, David Horst, Eric Brunner, Jeremy Hall, Kalif Alhassan, Diego Chara, Jack Jewsbury, Darlington Nagbe, Jorge Perlaza, Kenny Cooper
Bench: Adin Brown, Kevin Goldthwaite, Sal Zizzo, Adam Moffat, Eddie Johnson, Ryan Pore, Brian Umony
Kickoff is at 10 PM, and you can watch the game on MSG+ and Galavisión. Let's rock and roll.
