Another Saturday, another huge game for the New York Red Bulls after a rather unimportant build-up match elsewhere in the football world. Unfortunately, this week that earlier match has a direct affect on the team Hans Backe can put out this evening, as both Tim Ream and Juan Agudelo started for the USA against Spain.
In the absence of Ream and Rafael Márquez, Backe will almost certainly turn to Carlos Mendes and Stephen Keel in the center of defense, although the Red Bulls should have their preferred strike partnership of Luke Rodgers and Thierry Henry out from the start. Since I'm going to the game, I'm sure everyone would appreciate if a kind person could post the lineups when they are out. Thanks.
SB Nation doesn't have a Columbus blog yet, so you'll have to bait and tease their fans on Twitter.
Kickoff is at 7:30 and the game is on MSG for those of you who can't make it to Red Bull Arena. I'll be in Section 132 or 133, so drop by if you are heading out to the game. Let's get a win.
