New York Red Bulls vs. Chivas USA: Live Match Thread

Teemu's back, let's see if he can prevent another catastrophe against the goats.
Teemu's back, let's see if he can prevent another catastrophe against the goats.

The New York Red Bulls return to league play tonight as they take on Chivas USA at the Home Depot Center in Los Angeles. After successive defeats in the league and the US Open Cup, New York will hope to get their quest for a second consecutive Eastern Conference regular season title back on track with just their third league win since the end of April.

Teemu Tainio returns from suspension, but Luke Rodgers will miss out due to injury -- and could be out for several more weeks, meaning Thierry Henry and Juan Agudelo will probably start up front for the Red Bulls. More importantly, this game will be the debut for New York's newest signing, German goalkeeper Frank Rost, who joined the team on Friday.

Lineups

Red Bulls: Frank Rost; Jan Gunnar Solli, Carlos Mendes, Tim Ream, Roy Miller; Dane Richards, Dax McCarty, Teemu Tainio, Joel Lindpere; Juan Agudelo, Thierry Henry

Bench: Bouna Coundoul, Chris Albright, Stephen Keel, John Rooney, Austin da Luz, Mehdi Ballouchy, Corey Hertzog

Bench: Zach Thornton, Mariano Trujillo, Blair Gavin, Francisco Mendoza, Paulo Nagamura, Chris Cortez, Marcos Mondaini

You can find Chivas perspective at The Goat Parade. Be sure to check our our three questions with them and our match preview before the game.

Kickoff is at 10:30, and you can watch the game on MSG or Galavisión. I'm feeling another ridiculous disaster. Forza.
