Olave and Espindola to RBNY

Reports indicate the Red Bulls are set to swap allocation money for two long-tenured RSL players.

Soccer By Ives is reporting that Real Salt Lake is set to pull the trigger on a deal that would send forward Fabian Espindola and defender Jamison Olave to the Red Bulls for allocation money.

The deal would go through, according to Galarcep, with league approval when the transfer window opens Monday.

No team sources were cited.

Espindola, the 27-year-old Argentine, has been in the league since 2007, making 125 appearances and 104 starts, scoring 35 times. The 31-year-old Olave has been with RSL since 2008, making 120 appearances, starting all but one. The Colombian was an All-Star and Best XI selection in 2011.

A little preview of what Espindola can do (if the deal goes through)...
