Jonny Steele's Story Makes the Rounds in the UK

We already knew about Steele's long, winding road to MLS, the Red Bulls and, now, Northern Ireland. But now his story is making the rounds back home.

Turkey and Northern Ireland kick off this afternoon at 2 in Adana, Turkey. When it does, Jonny Steele might just get the shot to fulfill a lifelong dream: Playing international soccer.

We've already been over the 27-year-old's long, long road to MLS with Real Salt Lake, how he got to New York and made the left side of the midfield his, but the story is catching abroad (or back home, depending on where you're from and how you look at it).

He's had a sit down with the Belfast Telegraph and the BBC, who hasn't exactly been shy about asking Northern Ireland boss Michael O'Neil when Steele would be called into camp.

We'll see this afternoon if Steele will earn his first cap, but it's great to see him get some publicity after the season he's had.
