Two personnel moves to make note of this Monday...
This morning, the team sent allocation money to Portland in exchange for midfielder Eric Alexander. Alexander, who lead the Portland Timbers in assists last year, will reportedly have a portion of his $56,925 salary covered by the Timbers.
Alexander, who also spent time with the national team, can play wide or centrally and rejoins Dax McCarty, who he played with in 20110 at FC Dallas.
The Red Bulls also brought striker Peguy Luyindula on trial. The former Paris Saint-Germain man was connected to the Red Bulls in French newspapers in mid-December, finally joins the team on trial.
Luyindula will join the team in Arizona for the Desert Diamond Cup, which kicks off Wednesday when the Red Bulls take on Real Salt Lake.
