Thierry Henry and Tim Cahill combined to play the entire game Saturday, and while both looked good (Henry, great) both players, along with Fabian Espindola and Connor Lade, are on the coaching staff's watch list heading into this weekend's game against the Chicago Fire.
Cahill, who admitted after the game he was playing hurt in addition to coming off two World Cup qualifiers for Australia this weekend, is being watch for a calf strain, according to Franco Panzio at MLSsoccer.com. In addition, Henry's MCL sprain is still a cause for concern for Head Coach Mike Petke and company. Espindola is still nursing a hamstring injury, as well.
As per Panzio, none of the above players have been ruled out for the upcoming game, but Petke noted he has to "monitor them in the right way."
Petke also said Lade, who didn't suit up against the Philadelphia Union, probably wouldn't be available until next week, as he's suffering from a plantar fasciitis.
