The Red Bulls have signed 32-year-old Ugandan defender Ibrahim Sekagya.

Sekagya, last with Red Bull Salzburg of the Austrian Bundesliga, trialed with the team alongside Bradley Wright-Phillips and Sebastian Stachnik. The 6'1" 176 pound defender joins the team pending his P-1 visa and his international transfer certificate.

Here's what Sporting Director Andy Roxburgh had to say about the move...

"We are delighted to sign Ibrahim and we are sure his experience will strengthen our options in defense," said Red Bulls Sporting Director Andy Roxburgh. "He was well respected and liked by our colleagues at Red Bull Salzburg and we are confident he can play a role in our team as we enter into the second half of our regular season."

As is the case with MLS, no details on the deal have been released.
