The MLS season is nearly upon us!
Can you feel it in the air? That still-biting chill you've come to know as the winter's final push before receding into spring and the warmer months? It all can only mean one thing: It won't be much longer until the Red Bulls return to the field.
Too melodramatic? Alright, fine.
But the season is a little less than two weeks away. If that seems like it can't possible be true, maybe this will make the impending 2014 season a little more real: PRO has made referee assignments for the first week of games.
When the Red Bulls travel west to take on the Vancouver Whitecaps March 8 at BC Place, Allen Champman will run the show from the middle of the field. He'll be joined by assistants Adam Garner and Jeremy Hanson. The fourth official will be Younes Marrakchi.
It's not much, but it's something.
