MORRISTOWN, N.J. (Monday, February 3, 2014) - Sky Blue FC announced today that the club has signed defender Camille Levin, pending receipt of the player's international transfer certificate.
"We are happy to add Cami Levin to our roster and think she will be a core member of the team moving forward," Sky Blue FC Head Coach/Technical Director Jim Gabarra said. "This was one of the areas we wanted to improve in during the off-season and adding Cami helps us accomplish that. We are looking forward to her contributions this season."
Levin, a native of Newport Coast, California, was drafted by Sky Blue FC with the 4th overall pick in the 2012 WPS Draft before joining the team on an international tour of Japan. Following the tour, she returned to her California roots and joined the Pali Blues of the USL W-League, leading her team to the finals.
In 2012, Levin joined Swedish side Goteborg FC and helped guide the team to wins in the Swedish Cup and Swedish Super Cup. While with Goteborg FC, Levin also made several appearances in UEFA Champions League contests.
Most recently, the former Stanford University star has spent time with the Western Sydney Wanderers of the Australian W-League.
During her youth career, Levin spent extensive time as part of the U.S. National Team, making her first appearance in 2004 with the U-14 squad. While with the U-23s, Levin won back-to-back Four Nations Tournament titles in 2012 and 2013. She also captured the 2012 Three Nations Tournament in Norway.
