With Thierry Henry and Jamison Olave sharing a common phobia of turf, the Red Bulls are always going to be shorthanded going into certain games.
The hope in the aftermath of those games is that the next week the two come back fully rested to a strong squad coming off an impressive performance.
Well, that doesn't seem to be the case this week, with Tim Cahill, Bobby Convey and Armando all watching from the press box tomorrow against D.C. United.
Cahill was hurt in the Chivas USA game, and Head Coach Mike Petke was hopeful that he'd be available to play a role as a substitute, but as the week progressed, that proved to be a pipe dream.
Armando was hurt during the Montreal Impact game last week, giving Matt Miazga his first appearance of 2014. His injury will keep Miazga from joining the U-20 national team ahead of the Dallas Cup this weekend and hand Ibrahim Sekagya another start.
Convey was hurt in practice this weekend, and was limited in practice Friday.
The Red Bulls will, however, have Roy Miller this weekend. He came off at the half against the Impact last week.
