I'm hoping to do a feature like this every morning, taking a look at what is being said around the New York Red Bulls as well as MLS. Let me know in the comments if this should be a regular feature.

Around the New York Red Bulls

The Red Bulls played to a 2-2 draw in Montreal. Our own Austin Fido has the recap, as well as Empire of SoccerBig Apple Soccer.

Metro Fanatic looks at Peguy Luyindula's up & down performance on Saturday.

The Red Bull Reserves played Montreal, but unlike the senior team, couldn't withstand the Montreal attack and dropped a 4-1 result.

Around MLS

Last week, Toronto FC fans got some news that plans to renovate BMO Field have been approved. The approval doesn't mean the stadium is a done deal, as funding is needed, but it's a big step towards major improvements.

You might have already heard, but the Philadelphia Union traded youngster Jack McInerney to the Montreal Impact for Andrew Wenger. Jeremiah Oshan of sbnation.com has the details.

There's a little unknown rivarly in MLS between the Seattle Sounders and Portland Timbers, and they had a game this weekend. Ryan Rosenblatt & Kevin McCauley took a look at the results.

Houston Dynamo's David Horst was shown a red card by Ricardo Salazar in Saturday's edition of the Texas Derby, and there is a question of it was warranted. Darrell Lovell of mlssoccer.com has Houston's reaction.

Miscellaneous

In women's soccer, last night saw a shock announcement as U.S. Soccer fired the head coach of the Women's Team, Tom Sermanni.
