The 2015 Africa Cup of Nations kicked off January 17 and will run to February 8. Gabon is the early pace-setter in Group AGroup B is all square after one round of games; Senegal and Algeria picked up wins in the opening matches of Group C.

January 20 is Group D's turn to get started. Ambroise Oyongo's Cameroon is keen to make amends for a disappointing World Cup. Fecafoot, the national federation, has been killing time since the tournament started with pictures of the team in training...

...and administrators checking into a hotel.

But the exciting coverage of a soccer executive's adventures in Equatorial Guinea with nothing more than an expense account for company will have to be put on hold as Cameroon take on Mali in its first match of AFCON 2015.

Ambroise Oyongo has been the Indomitable Lions' starting right back in recent appearances. We'll see whether head coach Volker Finke is minded to keep faith with the young Red Bull against the Eagles of Mali.
