We'll get better highlights in due course, but for now, in case you missed it, here is Ambroise Oyongo's first-ever international goal.
It was timely for a couple of reasons: Cameroon was drifting toward a 1-0 loss in its opening game of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations against Mali (the match ended 1-1; the Indomitable Lions are in a four-way tie in Group D after one round of matches); the New York Red Bulls are apparently contemplating trading Oyongo to Montreal for some guy the new coach likes Felipe Martins.
It was also the first goal Oyongo has scored for club or country since joining RBNY at the start of the 2014 season.
Congratulations, Ambroise! Here's hoping your couldn't-have-come-at-a-better-time goal shakes the Red Bulls out of their steadfast determination to rid this club of all that is good.
Ali Curtis, Marc de Grandpre, Jesse Marsch: hope you were watching. This is one of those cases where you should know what you've got before it's gone.
