RBNY academy teams ranked among best in country

The academy teams are heating it up.

The New York Red Bulls have always had a highly regarded academy system, despite it not paying dividends at the Senior level yet. TopDrawerSoccer.com is one of the best places to go to get information on youth teams from across the country, they also keep rankings for U-13 through U-18 teams in the US & Canada. So, how do the Red Bulls academy teams compare to the rest of the country? Let's take a look.

U-13: The Red Bulls U-13 team is ranked #1, beating out FC Golden State -PDA 02 and LA Galaxy - North. Their rank is unchanged from November 2014 where they were also ranked #1.

U-14: The Red Bulls U-14 team is #2 for a second consecutive month behind FC Golden State - Academy. They outrank LA Galaxy - Academy and Vardar from Michigan.

U-15: The Red Bulls do not rank in this category. Sporting Kansas City ranks as the highest MLS organization at #4.

U-16: The U-16 team climbed from #2 to #1 in November, unseating the previous #1, the Philadelphia Union, who dropped to #3. The Vancouver Whitecaps also climbed above Philadelphia, moving from #3 to #2.

U-17: The Red Bulls missed out on being ranked at U-17. The top honor goes to Baltimore Celtic SC, with FC Dallas - 98B Premier coming in as the only MLS organization at #19.

U-18: The Red Bulls come in at #2, climbing from #3 in November. The Whitecaps - Academy repeated at #1, with 5 other MLS organizations in the top 10.
