When the Once a Metro staff heard that there would be a Canada vs. Ghana friendly in Washington DC in October, we all thought we would only have to write a Bulls Abroad for Karl Ouimette. We were mistaken. Ghana hasn't released its official roster for the October 13th friendly, but we do know that they plan to include New York Red Bulls midfielder, Lloyd Sam.

Sam was called to the U-20 England team back in 2005 and scored a goal in his debut, but is not cap-tied to England since it wasn't for the senior team. In 2010, Sam was called to the Ghana senior team, but had to pull out due to a thigh injury. It was thought that his ship had sailed, so this call-up is a pleasant surprise. Ghana has also called up New York City FC midfielder Kwadwo Poku.
Congratulations, Lloyd. We support you, just like Dax does!
Congrats to @MrLloydSam on his call up to Ghana. About time and much deserved. Take it easy on him @karlouimette, it's his first one! #RBNY

Ghana will face Ouimette's Canada on October 13th in DC for the friendly. This could affect Sam & Ouimette's eligibility for RBNY's next game on October 14th against Toronto FC.
