On the evening of Sunday, October 12, 2015, in the dying minutes of a game his team was winning by two goals, Ruben Bover added a third tally to the New York Cosmos total. And it was a memorable strike.

Well played, Ruben. The Cosmos won 3-0, which is incidental from the perspective of this site, which cares only for the fact that a former member of the New York Red Bulls has scored his first goal for his new club.
Bover was MVP of the Cosmos B-team's 2015 NPSL Championship-winning season. And now he has forced himself into the highlight reel for the Cosmos' 2015 NASL season (not that I have checked every goal they've scored this year, but if Bover's effort isn't one of the better ones...well, Cosmos fans need to start filling their team's stadium cos that is quite a show they're missing).
It has been a determined effort from Bover to prove himself once again after being cut by RBNY this year. As he himself indicated on Twitter, the past few months have not been easy for him:
Well it has been the hardest 6 months of my life. But so happy to be part of this family and score my first goal for the @NYCosmos #dream

OaM is always happy to see a former player succeed (once it is not at RBNY's expense, of course). Congrats, Ruben! May you score many, many more for your new team (except when you run into the Red Bulls in US Open Cup).
