Sacha Kljestan is now joint-second on the New York Red Bulls' all-time, all-competitions single-season assists list

Tied with Clint Mathis; just three behind Thierry Henry's all-time club record.

Sacha Kljestan continues to leave his mark on the New York Red Bulls' record books with a season that has ever-fewer companions as he chips, crosses and passes his way up the list of the club's all-time best assist-making years.

Kljestan completed his first regular season for RBNY with 14 league assists: a personal best for him in MLS, and the joint-best (tied with Thierry Henry and Eduardo Hurtado) single-season league assist total ever recorded for his new club.

He also had an assist in US Open Cup this year, which meant his all-competitions total for 2015 was 15: the joint-third best single-season tally the club has ever seen.

And now he has 16, after Dax McCarty nodded Kljestan's cross past Bill Hamid to give RBNY a 1-0 win over D.C. United in the first leg of their 2015 Eastern Conference semifinal. That 16th assist pushes Klestan up to the second on the RBNY all-time, all-competitions single-season assists list. He is tied with Clint Mathis. And three behind the club's single-season assists record: 19, set by Thierry Henry in 2014.

Congrats, Sacha!
