Matt Miazga is an important player for the New York Red Bulls, as one of two starting center backs. He's also important to the United States' plans. He played for the U-20 & U-23 teams this year. Now, he'll have the change to show what he has for the senior level of the national team.

This is an important appearance for Miazga for two reasons. First, it's a chance to impress Jurgen Klinsmann and keep his name in for future qualifiers. Secondly, if he plays in this match, it would officially cap tie him to the United States as World Cup Qualifiers count as an "A" level tournament. With recent rumblings of Poland wanting the young defender, the United States could lock him up now and stop Poland from grabbing him up.
The United States' first qualifying match is Friday, November 13th against St. Vincent & Grenadines.
