"Winningest" is not really a word, but it is late and the New York Red Bulls are through to the MLS Eastern Conference Playoff final for the second year running, and grammar is the first casualty of jubilation. So thanks and praise to RBNY's winningest 'keeper ever: Luis Robles.
He picked up the 56th win of his career as a Red Bull in the 1-0 win over D.C. United that secured his team's passage to the next round of the 2015 post-season. And 56 wins is the stand-alone, all-time, all-competitions, most achieved by any 'keeper in this club's history. (Robles already holds the club record for career league and playoff wins.)
The clean sheet also pushed his all-time, all-competitions RBNY career shutout record to 32. And he has tied Bouna Coundoul's all-time, all-competitions single-season shutout record too (with 12 for the year so far; Coundoul set the record in the 2010 season).
Congrats, Luis!
