2015 OaM Awards: Vote for Newcomer of the Year

It's time to hand out some End of Year awards. Help us pick the Newcomer of the Year.

Brad Mills-USA TODAY Sports

New York Red Bulls Newcomer of the year. The rules are quite simple. First year on the Red Bulls BUT they were already a professional player before coming to the team. Here are the nominees:

Mike Grella

If you think this looks familiar, that's because it is. A few weeks ago MLS presented Giovinco with the MLS Newcomer of the Year. I made an impassioned plea to why Mike Grella deserved that award. Well now Grella will be up against his own teammates.

Felipe Martins

Felipe came to New York in a trade that sent Ambroise Oyongo and Eric Alexander to Montreal. The midfield engine survived a rough in New York. While Felipe started out as the team goat, Felipe has turned into a fan favorite. Now an integral part of the midfield, he has appeared in 34 games with 3 goals and 5 assists.

Sacha Kljestan

Sacha Kljestan came to New York by the MLS allocation from Belgian powerhouse Anderlecht. New York got that allocation spot in the same trade that brought Felipe to the team. The Champions League veteran has appeared in 33 games and racked up an impressive 8 goals and 33 assists.

Kemar Lawrence

Better known as Taxi the Jamaican fullback came to the Red Bulls from Jamaican club Harbour View. The left back only made 23 appearances, scoring 1 goal and notching 4 assist. Don't hold this against him though, Lawrence went to the Gold Cup and Copa de America where he impressed pretty much everyone.

Who is your Newcomer of 2015? Let us know by voting in the poll below. Voting ends at 12 pm eastern on December 8th.
