Home & Away openers for New York Red Bulls announced

We actually start the season at home!

John E. Sokolowski-USA TODAY Sports

The New York Red Bulls have not started a season at home since 2011, when they hosted the Seattle Sounders. Now, after winning the 2015 Supporters' Shield, they'll be able to lift a banner at home to open the year. They will take on Toronto FC, and reigning MVP Sebastian Giovinco, in their season opener

Six days later, the red Bulls will head north of the border to take on the Montreal Impact. It will be their first away game of the year, and in typical fashion, Montreal will start the season at Olympic Stadium.

The full schedule still has to be released, and will be made public by the league in January.
