United States 5, Cuba 0
The U.S U-17s got off to a flying start with a big win in their tournament opener. Led by a Joe Gallardo hat trick, the result was never in doubt. Matthew Olosunde started and went 90 minutes at right back. Tyler Adams was subbed in at the 28th minute for Eric Calvillo and played the rest of the way.
The United States plays Trinidad and Tobago in their next match.
Both Olosunde and Adams played well, with Olosunde showing skill and creativity against an outmatched opponent.
Not much to nitpick from that performance. Gallardo, Pulisic, Olosunde, Velela all looked great. Not great days from Wright/Perez.
