RBNY's second "game" of the preseason was one of two 30-minute halves on a soggy day in Florida against a Toronto FC team too preoccupied by the arrival of its latest superstar, Sebastian Giovinco, to pay much mind to anything so mundane as an early-February kickabout.
While the New York Red Bulls' stalwart social media team tweeted out RBNY's starting lineup, TFC's attention was fixed on the arrivals hall of Pearson International Airport:
#RBNY Starters vs. @TorontoFC: Robles; Duvall, Perinnelle, Jean-Baptiste, Miller; McCarty, Davis; Obekop, Kljestan, Grella; Wright-Phillips

TFC did eventually get round to tweeting out a lineup...
Starting XI vs @NewYorkRedBulls - Bendik, creavalle, caldwell, simonen, morgan, rivas, warner, delgado, lovitz, osorio, findley.
— Toronto FC (@torontofc) February 5, 2015
...and then team and social media account appeared to agree on ignoring what was happening on the pitch completely. As reported by RBNY's Twitter account, there wasn't much happening for TFC in this one.
4 - Mike Grella with a penetrating run up the left... Cuts back for Sean Davis who takes a touch before trailing his shot wide right. #RBNY
— New York Red Bulls (@NewYorkRedBulls) February 5, 2015
9' - Jean Baptiste plays a great through ball for Grella but a desperation tackle from Caldwell clears it for a throw in. #RBNY
— New York Red Bulls (@NewYorkRedBulls) February 5, 2015
15' - Kljestan with a beautiful ball to slot Miller into the box alone on the left but he chips over the bar. #RBNY
— New York Red Bulls (@NewYorkRedBulls) February 5, 2015
17' - Grella picks up a loose ball on the left and cuts to goal...unleashes a powerful effort that's deflected out for a corner.
— New York Red Bulls (@NewYorkRedBulls) February 5, 2015
18' - Corner delivered from the left... Perinelle heads on for Kljestan who can't get enough on it at the back post. #RBNY
— New York Red Bulls (@NewYorkRedBulls) February 5, 2015
Twenty-two minutes in, TFC did something:
22' - Ball over the top out of the back from TFC but Rivas is caught offside. #RBNY
— New York Red Bulls (@NewYorkRedBulls) February 5, 2015
Then RBNY did something better:
24' - GOAL #RBNY! After the corner, ball pings around the area before falling for Kljestan on the left...measures to the back post. 1-0 RBNY
— New York Red Bulls (@NewYorkRedBulls) February 5, 2015
SACHA KLJESTAN SCORED A GOAL! Yes, it is preseason, but we have to take what we can get right now.
No changes at the half for RBNY - and much the same story for the second 30 minutes...
34' - Obekop makes his way into the box on the right before the ball falls for Kljestan... he lays for McCarty but Dax puts it over the bar.
— New York Red Bulls (@NewYorkRedBulls) February 5, 2015
37' Great build up on the left as Kljestan changes fields for Obekop... His cross in just misses BWP and trails out.
— New York Red Bulls (@NewYorkRedBulls) February 5, 2015
41' - Grella cross in from the left headed up by a TFC defender...out for the corner kick. #RBNY
— New York Red Bulls (@NewYorkRedBulls) February 5, 2015
42' - #RBNY GOAL! Davis corner headed up by a TFC defender, falls for Dax McCarty who heads home from close range. 2-0 Good Guys.

DAX MCCARTY SCORED A GOAL! Good times in Florida.
And that was about it.
What did we learn? Not a great deal. This was a run-out for two sets of payers neither quite amounting to a coherent team - and one group was arguably much more interested in what was happening at an airport in another country.
Oh Seba my Seba... We're waiting. #TFC pic.twitter.com/RiWMytz9iS

Points we gathered from the Twitter coverage and perhaps to look at more closely when get get the highlights: Sean Davis appeared to get most of the corners; Sacha Kljestan was given a chance from a direct free kick.
47' - Kljestan lines up a free kick 30 yards out, dead center on goal... Hits it JUST over the bar. #RBNY

There will be other set-piece options before the season is out, but it is at least interesting that Jesse Marsch chose to let one of his youngest players have a run in what looked the stronger of the two lineups the Red Bulls fielded on the last full day of their Orlando camp. Equally interesting that trialists Marius Obekop and Mike Grella were given the chance to run out in support of lone striker Bradley Wright-Phillips.
Oh - and Luis Robles got the armband.
Luis Robles serving as captain today. RT @MikeIozzia: @NewYorkRedBulls Is Dax captain?

It's preseason. It wasn't really a proper match. We didn't see any of it. And the result doesn't count for anything at all.
But better to win than to lose, and good to have Sacha Kljestan off to a scoring start as he eases into life as a Red Bull.
