Bulls Abroad: Metzger makes appearance for U-23's

The NYRB II player got 15 minutes for his country against Denmark.

The United States U-23 Men's team lost 1-0 to a Denmark U-23 selection on Tuesday in Copenhagen. New York Red Bulls II midfielder, Dan Metzger, entered the game in the 75th for Benji Joya, but couldn't help the team even the score.

The U-23s' focus is the CONCACAF Olympic Qualifying Championship in October. The team's next scheduled game is against Mexico at StubHub Center in California (LA Galaxy's stadium) on April 22.

Metzger will now turn his attention to RBNY II, the Red Bulls USL team that he was revealed to have joined last week. It is a return to familiar territory for the central midfielder who developed in the RBNY Academy. RBNY II will play Toronto FC II on April 4 at Red Bull Arena. The match is scheduled to begin at 3:30 pm.

For those watching the RBNY reserves in USL, the possibility Metzger might be in the frame for the US Olympic squad is perhaps worth noting.
