A statement released today revealed that former New York Red Bulls head coach Mike Petke will be an analyst and contributor to ONE World Sports (America's Network for Global Sports), the network home of the New York Cosmos of the NASL. He'll make his debut on Saturday, April 18th for the Cosmos vs Tampa Bay Rowdies match live from Long Island.

"We are thrilled to have Mike join our growing team of on-air analysts and contributors to the network," said Joel Feld, ONE World Sports executive vice president, programming and production. "Mike’s two years as a head coach in MLS make him the ideal choice to add to our team. He has a unique, first person perspective that will be a benefit to fans watching the telecast."

Will he be up for future coaching positions in Major League Soccer? Probably. There are quite a few hot seats right now, including with the Colorado Rapids where Petke excelled as a player. But for now we all get the pleasure of listening to the Shield winning coach break down matches with Shep Messing and JP Dellacamera.

Best of luck to Mike Petke at his new gig. We'll be watching and listening (when the match doesn't conflict with the Red Bulls).
