The New York Red Bulls pulled off a dramatic comeback to draw D.C. United 2-2 on Saturday night. Two goals were scored by DCU's Perry Kitchen to give the home team a 2-0 advantage by the 67th minute. Less than a minute later, Sal Zizzo delivered a corner that found the head of Damien Perrinelle to give the visitors hope. Then in stoppage, Sacha Kljestan struck a free kick from 25 yards away, which was bobbled by DCU goalkeeper Bill Hamid. Lloyd Sam feverishly chased down the rebound and placed the ball in the opposite side netting to complete the comeback by RBNY. Here were RB's top fantasy performers against DC:
Damien Perrinelle (DEF; 9 points): Despite his defense giving up 2 goals AND receiving a yellow card, Perrinelle earned himself the honor of being RB's top point getter this week. He scored on a header in the 68th and earned an additional 3 defensive bonus points for his efforts against DC.
Lloyd Sam (MID; 9 points): RBNY's most prolific player this season was at it again this week. His 3rd goal of the season came in stoppage time to bring the game back to level terms. He contributed additional bonus points on the offensive and defensive sides.
Matt Miazga (DEF; 5 points): Miazga contributed a quiet 4 bonus points on defense to keep DC from scoring a 3rd. None of their scoring came from the front two strikers, which is a win for the back four.
The New York Red Bulls are back in action on Friday 4/17 when they host the San Jose Earthquakes for the first time this season.
