Bover made 22 league appearances with the Red Bulls and scored 1 goal. He previously spent time with Halesowen Town, Charlton Athletic, and San Roque.
Why did he sign with a team that plays in a league made up of mostly amateur teams? Perhaps it has to do with the NPSL's short season that traditionally ends in July or August while the summer transfer window is still open. Bover can maintain fitness, enjoy the American lifestyle a little longer, and then move to another team once the Cosmos B season is over.
New York Cosmos B also announced the signing of former Philadelphia Union player Cristhian Hernandez and Colorado Rapids player Johan Neeskens.
