The U-23 USMNT defeated the U-23 Mexico NT, 3-0, at the Stubhub Center in Carson, CA last night.  Goals were scored by Mario Rodriguez (Borussia M'gladbach) in the 48th, assisted by Luis Gil (Real Salt Lake); Christian Dean (Vancouver Whitecaps) in the 58th, assisted by Dillon Serna (Colorado Rapids); and senior USMNT striker Jordan Morris (Stanford University) in the 68th, assisted by Shane O'Neill (Colorado Rapids).

New York Red Bulls II midfielder, Dan Metzger, came on to replace an injured Jose Villarreal in the 40th minute, so he was on the field during all three of the US's second half goals.  He registered a shot that was blocked near the corner of the penalty area and committed one foul.  On the defensive end, Metzger recorded three tackles, four clearances out of the box and six recoveries.  His best statistic of the day was his 85.7% passing accuracy (12-for-14).
