This is a fantasy owner's dream.  Double Game Week!!

And it is the first time it has happened to the New York Red Bulls this season.  Even if you are not a RBNY supporter, you need to strike while the iron is hot.

The Red Bulls were able to boss possession against a very good LA Galaxy team.  If they look to continue their strong start to the season, there should be no reason you will not want to get as many RBNY players in your lineup as possible.  (I personally will be putting the maximum, 4, in my starting XI this week).  Also, make one of them your Captain to ensure you will get two games of double points.

Felipe Martins has been the Red Bulls highest point scorer in each of the previous two games (12 and 9) and has pulled even with Lloyd Sam for most points this season on the team (40).  I would definitely buy him.

Another big buy is Luis Robles.  You always want to choose a goalkeeper when they are at home.  You now have twice the reason to start him.  Two home games this week (with at least one potential clean sheet).  And thanks to Taylor Twellman, we were told during the LA broadcast that RBNY has the best home record in the league over the last three years.

You should also buy Sam, Bradley Wright-Phillips, Damien Perrinelle and Sacha Kljestan.  These guys have emerged as the leaders of the team through the first two months of the season.  Matt Miazga could be a good choice that won't break the bank.  Make one of them your Captain.

I'm a bit cautious with Dax McCarty.  He hasn't played well the last two games and his frustrations have been directed at the referees.  He'll need to keep his cool to be effective for the team (and earn you maximum points).  Also, until Chris Duvall can show he can plug up the holes on the right side of the defense, you should bag him as well.  Both of them could be blamed for the goal LA scored this weekend.

Buy 'Em

  • Felipe Martins ($8.4M)
  • Luis Robles ($5.6M)
  • Lloyd Sam ($8.9M)
  • Sacha Klejstan ($9.0M)
  • Damien Perrinelle ($6.7M)
  • Matt Miazga ($5.6M)
  • Bradley Wright-Phillips ($11.0M)

Bag 'Em

  • Dax McCarty ($8.1M)
  • Chris Duvall ($6.3M)
  • Mike Grella ($6.2M)
  • Sal Zizzo ($6.5M)

This week could be tricky for the team as they face the Colorado Rapids on Wednesday and the New England Revolution on Saturday.  Colorado has put their scoreless streak in the past and Jermaine Jones has returned to the starting lineup for the defending Eastern Conference playoff winners.
