The New York Red Bulls' Week 4 nominees for both MLS Goal of the Week and Save of the Week have...not won.
Save of the Week has been the Ty Deric show for the last couple of rounds, and he duly won his third consecutive online vote for keeping Colorado Rapids' Marcelo Sarvas at bay. The Houston Dynamo 'keeper got 30.03% of the vote; Luis Robles finished third with 17.82%.
This was the third SotW nomination this season for Robles: he finished third in Week 1's poll (14.22% of the vote) and second in Week 3 (22.8%).
Mike Grella fared a little better in Goal of the Week voting: he attracted 24.78% of votes cast - good for second place. Jack McInerney's 27.65% share claimed top spot.
The Red Bulls will sit out Week 5, so there will be no opportunity to address this injustice until the sixth round of the MLS regular season. RBNY will play D.C. United in DC on April 11.
