Last week, we heard news that Ghanaian forward Abdul Aziz Yusif would be heading to the New York Red Bulls for a trial. He is not a big name, but RBNY's back-up options for Bradley Wright-Phillips are somewhat scant: no harm in looking at reinforcements.
This week, shortly after he had completed recapping RBNY's performance against NYC FC, Brian Lewis of the New York Post took a moment to report that Aziz trial will not be happening:
Despite reports, the Red Bulls will not be bringing in Ghanian striker Aziz Yusif on trial next week. #RBNY

This aligns with comments Jesse Marsch provided to mlssoccer.com's RBNY beat writer, Eric Giacometti, in the context of denying the rumor linking Kevin-Prince Boateng to RBNY:
For those still hungry for KPB news/rumors, here's Jesse's full quote on the matter. Make of it what you will. #RBNY pic.twitter.com/FNAHAdihv7

The rumor mill urgently wants the Red Bulls to have some new signings this summer. But the club does not appear to share the same enthusiasm: the team is winning, whatever flaws may be perceived in the roster have not been insurmountable. Jesse Marsch is "focused on what we have", and this focus is restated with every refuted transfer rumor.
