Roster change deadline: Tuesday May 5, 8:30pm ET
Amount of Free Transfers this week: 2
The New York Red Bulls will face their newly-created rivals, New York City FC in the first of three meetings this season. RBNY 's real rival is D.C. United, but it isn't as geographically close as the team across the Hudson.
Jesse Marsch's backups couldn't get the job done against the New England Revolution, so I predict he'll put his starters back into the mix for this game. I recommend to buy Damien Perrinelle. He'll most likely grab back his starting role from Karl Ouimette.
Other Buys I would make: Chris Duvall, who should get back his starting role; Sal Zizzo to start over Mike Grella; I think Kemar Lawrencewill keep his place despite the availability of Roy Miller. All of these guys who start on the outside of the formation will have a significant role to play for delivering the ball to Felipe Martins and Sacha Klejstan. NYCFC has not been performing well the last few games, so RBNY will want to turn on the pressure to keep the blue team on its heels.
For me, Dax McCarty is still not out of the basement. He delivered two 4-fantasy point appearances this past week, but he needs to show more poise to deliver more points to his fantasy owners. He is still one to Bag in my book. McCarty should have a chance to prove himself during the Derby. We'll have to see how it plays out.
Make sure you catch the game on Sunday May 10th at 7pm on Fox Sports 1.
