BULLS ABROAD Kemar Lawrence and Karl Ouimette called up to Jamaica, Canada national team

Two RBNY defensemen will represent their countries in their team's upcoming major tournaments

The Caribbean Football announced that New York Red Bulls left back, Kemar Lawrence, has been called up to the Jamaica national team for the Copa America tournament starting June 11th.  He will join four other MLS players (Jermaine Taylor & Giles Barnes, Houston; Darren Mattocks, Vancouver; and Je-Vaughn Watson, Dallas) on the team.  Lawrence already has 14 caps and 2 goals for the Reggae Boys at the tender age of 22.

Jamaica will face Uruguay on June 13th, Paraguay on June 16th and Argentina on June 20th during Copa America.

Additionally, center back and fullback Karl Ouimette has been called in to the Canadian national team for their upcoming second round of World Cup Qualifying against Dominica. Ouimette is also 22 years old and has recorded 8 caps with Canada.  He will join seven other MLS players (Jonathan Osorio & Ashtone Morgan, Toronto; Maxim Tissot, Montreal; Will Johnson, Portland; Russell Teibert, Vancouver; Tesho Akindele, Dallas; and Cyle Larin, Orlando).

Canada will have a home-and-away series with Dominica on June 11th and June 16th, hosting the second leg at BMO Field in Toronto.  The winner of this match and the other nine second round matches, will move on to round three of CONCACAF World Cup qualifying along with Jamaica and Haiti, to be played August 31st -September 8th as six home-and-away ties.

While away on international duty, Lawrence and Ouimette will miss RBNY's US Open Cup match against the Atlanta Silverbacks on June 16th.  Additionally, Lawrence will miss the home match against Vancouver on June 20th.
