Bulls Abroad: Gold Cup Group B Roundup (Game 2): Kemar Lawrence, Roy Miller & Karl Ouimette

Jamaica separate from the pack

Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports

Jamaica 1 - 0 Canada

All four teams in Group B drew their first game so they were deadlocked at one point a piece. It looked as if another draw was imminent, but Jamaica played spoiler in stoppage to pull away from their groupmates with a 1-0 win over Canada. Kemar Lawrence played another 90 minute game for Jamaica and Karl Ouimette didn't see the field at all again.

During Jamaica's goal in the 92nd minute, Lawrence drew two defenders when he went up for a header in the box. When it sailed over his head, no one was left to cover Rodolph Austin for Jamaica's goal.

Costa Rica 1 - 1 El Salvador

Roy Miller played all 90 minutes in Costa Rica's 1-1 draw with El Salvador. Bryan Ruiz put the Ticos ahead in the 64th minute, but Dustin Corea snatched back a point for El Salvador in stoppage to bring the game back even.

Jamaica put themselves in the drivers' seat for the Group B crown by defeating Canada. The other three positions will be determined once the last game is played on Tuesday night. Maybe one of them will get matched up with the US in Baltimore on July 18th.
