Roster change deadline: Wednesday July 15, 8:30pm ET
Amount of Free Transfers this week: 2
The New York Red Bulls will come off their 4-1 win over the New England Revolution and travel to Orlando City SC for a matchup on Saturday July 18th. If the Red Bulls can replicate their NE efforts for the rest of the season, they could be unbeatable, but it will be tough to stay consistent for another three months.
The deadline for transfers is tomorrow night, so I didn't want to delay this article. We will know by this evening if Karl Ouimette or Roy Miller could return to the RBNY lineup, if their national teams are eliminated from the Gold Cup. Ouimette has not appeared for Canada yet, so If he returns, he could find his way to the lineup right away. If Roy Miller comes back, Jesse Marsch will have to decide if he needs to rest before the Open Cup matchup on July 21st. Kemar Lawrence and Jamaica have secured their spot in the knockout round, so bag him for this week as he will not be available on Saturday.
I recommend to buy Lloyd Sam. He doesn't look to be bothered by his injury anymore. He thrashed the New England defense and will look to do the game against Orlando. They will be without Brek Shea on defense/midfield to stop his efforts. Also, buy Connor Lade. His defense has allowed only two goals the last two games and he has played all 90 minutes in each. Cyle Larin could also be a game time decision if he were to return to Orlando. He has over a quarter of the team's goals, so if he's unavailable, Lade could have a solid game.
I would bag Sal Zizzo. I bet his confidence has dwindled since missing the PK (and the rebound) against New England. I see Mike Grella getting the start over him on the left wing.
