Red Bulls reduce away support ticket allocation for upcoming New York City FC match

The actions of a few hurt the whole.

Andy Marlin-USA TODAY Sports

There's a general rule when it comes to being a supporter in MLS, only do what has been agreed upon with the front offices. Some members of the traveling support for New York City FC did not listen to this when they played the New York Red Bulls at Red Bull Arena May. There were incidents of smoke devices being set off by the visitors around the stadium, with one even being thrown on the field towards Luis Robles.

Because of the actions of a few, the greater set of NYC FC fans will now suffer. The Red Bulls, as reported by Dave Martinez of Empire of Soccer, are reducing the ticket allocation for the third match up at Red Bull Arena in 3 weeks.

Of course this won't stop NYC FC fans from buying tickets outside of the allotment, but one has to give credit to the Red Bulls for taking a step to ensure a safe environment for all who come to the matches.
