Eastern Conference Championship final four set for New York Red Bulls U23s

Four matches away from the PDL Championship.

After winning Mid Atlantic Division of the Premier Development League, the New York Red Bulls U23s earned a spot in the Eastern Conference Championship. Now they're heading on a road trip to the far away lands of Newark, New Jersey where the semifinals and final will be hosted by the Jersey Express at NJIT Stadium.

The Baby Bulls play GPS Portland Phoenix on Saturday, July 25th at a time that has yet to be determined. Portland finished first in the Northeast Division during the regular season and beat the Seacoast United Phantoms, 2-1, in the first round of the playoffs. Hosts Jersey Express play the Charlotte Eagles in the other semifinal. The Eastern Conference Championship final is on Sunday, July 26th.

The winner of the Eastern Conference Championship advances to the PDL national championship at a site yet to be determined; the semifinal will be on Friday, July 31st followed by the final on Sunday, August 2nd.

The Baby Bulls went 9-2-3 during the regular season and are currently on a nine-match unbeaten streak. They won the NPSL Championship last season, and switched to the PDL during the off-season.

The New York Red Bulls U23s is an amateur team that provides match experiences for college players and helps the organization continue to develop former Academy players while maintaining their potential Homegrown tags.
