On Saturday, the New York Red Bulls are set to take the field at PPL Park to take on the Philadelphia Union. Before that though, some other athletes will take the field.
The Red Bulls and Union will be represented by members of the Special Olympics for a match that will be open to the public before the MLS sides battle it out. The match will consist of two 15-minute halves and will feature members of the Red Bulls supported Special Olympics New Jersey and a team supported by the Union. The match will be open to the public as the Union will open PPL Park early for fans to watch the match before the match. The match will kickoff around 5:45 pm for those who wish to go in early and support those playing.
The match comes on the heels of the Red Bulls working with Special Olympics New Jersey's Camp Shiver to help coach soccer skills to those enrolled in the summer camp.
