Bulls Abroad: CanMNT Call Ouimette to Face USMNT in February

Two Red Bulls on USA. Now one on Canada.

Anne-Marie Sorvin-USA TODAY Sports

At the beginning of the month, we learned the Luis Robles and Matt Miazga were called to the United States national team's Camp Cupcake.  The US will face Iceland on 1/31 and Canada on 2/5 in Carson, CA.  Yesterday, the Canadian national team announced there will be a third New York Red Bulls player on the field during US-Canada, defender Karl Ouimette, along with 22 of his fellow countrymen.

Canada opens their camp on Monday 1/25.  Even though the US has two games during this unofficial FIFA window, Canada is assembling for the next two weeks just to play the one game.  However, it will be a very good tuneup for them as they prepare for their World Cup qualifying matches against Mexico in March.

Ouimette, 23, has 14 caps for Canada since making his senior team debut in November 2013.

The US-Canada game will feature an incredible 36 players from MLS.  The game will be televised on Fox Sports 1 on Friday February 5th at 10:15 ET.
