As it was reported by Once a Metro that the Red Bulls re-signed their captain to that multi year deal and avoided the mess after the 2016 season ended when it could've been possible that Dax McCarty might have gone somewhere else. Well it just got even better for the club as a recent report came out from the The Score in Canada that the club have officially re-signed McCarty and now Brazilian Defensive Midfielder Felipe and French Centerback Damien Perrinelle.

It was a very successful 2015 for both men as they played well defensively and contributed offensively when they got the opportunity. Especially when these two scored late in the first half at the Portland Timbers on September 20th with that long distance rip by Felipe and then a quick header by Perrinelle inside 1st half stoppage time.

Of course it was terrible to see Perrinelle fall down and clutch his knee in the 1st leg of the MLS Cup Eastern Conference Semi-Finals as the news was feared that he ruptured his left ACL and was gone for the entire playoffs, but all 2015 Perrinelle barked out orders when he had either Matt Miazga, Ronald Zubar or Karl Ouimette as a rotating partner in the middle of the field.

"We believe that consistancy is one of the keys to success and keeping our core intact" Said Red Bulls Sporting Director Ali Curtis. "Both Dax & Felipe were integral to what we accomplished last season and we are pleased to keep them with the club going forward."

And Curtis is very happy to keep Perrinelle with the club as well. "We are very excited to bring back Damien. He was a very important part of our team this past season. Despite the injury Damien suffered in the playoffs, we are doing everything we can to support his recovery and we are looking forward to him returning to full fitness."

So right now the Red Bulls are looking to be going on the right track and shoring up the players that got them to the 2015 Supporters Shield and a trip to the CONCACAF Champions League Group Stage this coming August and let's hope this season will be better for them when they get ready for the Pre-season and all the positives advance to something special.
