New York Red Bulls to play Jacksonville Armada in preseason

One preseason game is set to go.

Vincent Carchietta-USA TODAY Sports

Yesterday we reported that the New York Red Bulls were rumored to be taking on the Jacksonville Armada of the NASL in preseason action. Today that game was confirmed.

The Red Bulls will take on the second year NASL team on February 27th in Jacksonville. The game will be played at Community First Park at the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville, and will start at 6 pm. There is no indication if there will be a stream of the game or not at the moment.

This information gives us the first known time we will see the team in action in 2016. Additionally, it gives us a clue of where the Red Bulls plan to spend their preseason.

Traditionally, the Red Bulls have spent their preseasons in either Florida, usually in a tournament at Walt Disney World, or in Arizona for the Dessert Diamond Classic.

This game indicates that they Red Bulls will probably spend their preseason in Florida and the east coast in general.
